About Tamara Walker

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by a large, close-knit family that continues to be a central part of my life. Whether it’s spending quality time with them or catching up with friends, family always comes first. In my spare time, I have a passion for traveling, sports, and being an active aunt to my eight nieces and four nephews, whom I love to spoil.

My journey into the nonprofit sector was deeply personal and transformative. After spending a decade in consulting and corporate America, I found myself yearning to make a more meaningful impact on my community. Inspired by a personal story shared by my mother, I took the leap to co-found a nonprofit with my family, focusing on providing resources to students from marginalized communities.

Equipped with a degree in Real Estate Management from American Military University, a degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Regis University, I am committed to leveraging my experience and education to lead my organization and create lasting change.
